Purpose

Alex Mattan started Ambacht to pursue his passion for carpentry, while contributing to the restoration of historic buildings. Growing up between Belgium and the United States, he fell in love with the brick architecture and attention to detail that St. Louis has to offer. His hand-built, custom windows and shutters are not only purposeful and high quality—they are his way to help in restoring the city’s former glory.
